The Studio
Lane County Oregon. Blessed with green forests. Beauty all year round. However, like with large outdoor spaces (forests, deserts,
grassy plains, etc.) here and abroad, the windy roads to and through have some form of litter around them. Litter surrounding the
roads, and here in Oregon, old logging landings in the woods turned into trash dumps.
The mission of this studio is to collect and turn this litter into forms of art while at the same time taking a stab at cleaning up the woods.
NOTE** The manufactures of the products in these pictures and all products left illegally on road ways and properties are not
responsible, at fault or liable for any Federal, State and County littering laws. Responsible parties for such littering is that of
irresponsible individuals.
The April 29th excursion. A few hours of driving around the McGowen Creek area and I was able to
round up plenty of material.
Current Work....Cello
21 empty cans of Denatured Alcohol. Left on the side of a logging
road paralleling some power lines. All were collected (also seen in
the picture above).
Back at the Shop, they were cut up using a jig saw, cleaned up with
soap and water and was formed into some art...Cello
Striving to transform trash to elegance with the aid of pliers, hammers, tin snips and sheet metal screws. And a light touch with a
plasma cutter.
Painted white with the exception of a 9" x 11" area on the back showing the material that was used.
